The problem is in RH kernel packages having

Provides: kernel = %{version}

That confuses the heck out of the allow-duplicated script, and IIRC it's 
not fixable (although it's a long long time since I looked at this). The 
upgradevirt.lua uses nasty naming hacks to get around this, it works but 
is ugly as sin. I've been intending to re-re-rewrite the thing one of 
these days to sanitize (at least attempt to :) it and separate the 
kernel-module stuff out of it (the new FE kmod-blaa style would need 
special handling to get it 100% right)
